A Nomination Committee (NomCom) is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and certifying a properly selected slate of candidates for the ARIN Board of Trustees to be placed in nomination before the General Membership for election (Bylaws, Article VI, Section 4.c.).
NomCom business is conducted via teleconference calls. Details regarding the responsibilities of the Committee are found in the Bylaws at http://www.arin.net/library/corp_docs/bylaws.pdf.
The NomCom consists of two (2) representatives from the Board of Trustees, two (2) representatives from the Advisory Council, and three (3) representatives from ARIN General Members in good standing. The definition of a General Member in good standing is in the Election Guidelines at http://www.arin.net/elections/electionguidelines.html#gmigs.
At this time we are seeking three (3) volunteer General Members in good standing to serve on the Committee. Please note that candidates for this year’s Board of Trustees election are not eligible to serve on the NomCom. Submit your name, email address, and ARIN member organization to info@arin.net no later than 23:59 ET on July 13, 2003. Three member volunteers will be randomly selected to serve on the Committee.
