ARIN is issuing an open call for General Members in good standing to nominate candidates for two (2) seats on the Board of Trustees and five (5) seats on the Advisory Council that become open when current terms expire on December 31, 2005.
The Board of Trustees election has a Nomination Committee that is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and certifying a properly selected slate of candidates to be placed in nomination before the membership for election. This year’s NomCom members are: Bill Manning (Chair), Scott Bradner, Alec Peterson, Rob Seastrom, Dave Diller, Scott Shackelford, and Jason Warren.
New Board and AC terms are for three years and begin January 1, 2006. The Board seats opening are those currently held by David Conrad and Bill Woodcock. The Advisory Council seats opening are currently held by: Bill Darte, Andrew Dul, Alec Peterson, John Sweeting, and Suzanne Woolf. Individuals may be re-elected for consecutive terms.
Please note:
-
You must be an ARIN General Member in good standing to make nominations. However, those nominated do not need to be ARIN members. Self-nominations from General Members in good standing are permitted. A petition process is available to nonmembers seeking to nominate themselves for the Board of Trustees.
-
All nominees are subject to the Nomination and Appointment Conflict of Interest List.
-
Nominations must be received by 23:59 ET on Friday, July 29, 2005. In accordance with ARIN’s Bylaws, each General Member in good standing may make up to three nominations for each open seat.
If you are interested in nominating yourself or any other individual as a member of the Board of Trustees or Advisory Council, use the Nomination Election Form.
ARIN will contact all nominees via email and/or telephone to verify that they are willing and able to fulfill a three-year term. If ARIN cannot reach the nominee, the nomination will be rejected.
