A new version of the ARIN Number Resource Policy Manual (NRPM) has been published to the ARIN website. NRPM version 2011.1 is effective 12 January 2011 and supersedes the previous version. NRPM version 2011.1 contains the implementation of the following policies:
- ARIN-2010-1: Waiting List for Unmet IPv4 Requests
- ARIN-2010-12: IPv6 Subsequent Allocation
- ARIN-2009-6: IANA Policy for Allocation of ASNs to RIRs
2010-1 was adopted by the ARIN Board on 10 August 2010. 2010-12 was adopted by the ARIN Board on 22 November 2010. Board minutes are available at: https://www.arin.net/about_us/bot/
2009-6 was a global policy proposal. It was adopted by the ICANN Board in September 2010: http://www.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-2-21sep10-en.htm
In addition, on 22 November 2010 the ARIN Board of Trustees adopted ARIN-2010-10 (Global Proposal): Global Policy for IPv4 Allocations by the IANA Post Exhaustion. This is a global proposal which awaits the conclusion of the Global Policy Development Process.
