In February 2011, ARIN released an Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) environment for users to familiarize themselves with and practice using ARIN’s RESTful Provisioning system. The OT&E environment remains available and ARIN encourages the community to use it as they develop and test their software.
To request access to ARIN’s OT&E environment, submit your request via Ask ARIN while logged in to your ARIN Online account. Select ‘Other’ as the topic. Your request must include:
- IP Address(es) where RESTful requests will originate from – IPv4 and/or IPv6 addresses or CIDR range.
- Brief attestation that code is developed or will soon be developed using ARIN’s RESTtful API.
Once we have vetted your request, we will send additional instructions for using the OT&E environment.
Access will be granted for a period of six (6) months. Access for currently authorized users will continue for six (6) months from the date of this announcement.
Documentation on ARIN’s RESTful methods and payloads can be found at:
https://www.arin.net/resources/restful-interfaces.html
ARIN’s OT&E environment is limited to RESTful calls and the ARIN Online web interface. It is available over both IPv4 and IPv6. Email-based templates and interactions are not enabled.
ARIN welcomes community feedback. Subscribe and participate on the arin-tech-discuss@arin.net mailing list if you have questions or comments.
