The ARIN Board of Trustees adopted Bylaws changes at its meeting on 14 July 2015. The changes include:
- Shortening the voting open period to “at least 7 days,” so elections do not close on a weekend
- Replacing the term “Designated Member Representative (DMR)” with the more self-explanatory “voting contact”
- Modifying the voter eligibility cutoff deadline from 60 days to 45 days prior to the election
- Clarified the requirement for ARIN to deliver notice of the election prior to the eligibility cutoff
These changes were adopted incorporating feedback received during the Community Consultation on Election Related Bylaws Changes from 20 April to 20 May 2015 and include Article V, Section 3.a, Article V, Section 3.b, Article VIII, Section 2.b, Article VIII, Section 4.a, and Article VIII, Section 4.b.
