ARIN 2015 election results are in. Congratulations to those elected to serve on the ARIN Board of Trustees, Advisory Council and NRO Number Council.
Paul Andersen and Aaron Hughes have been re-elected to the ARIN Board of Trustees. Each will serve a three-year term commencing 1 January 2016. The Board thanks Sandra Murphy and L. Sean Kennedy for their participation as candidates in the election and encourages their continued involvement in the ARIN community.
Dan Alexander, David Huberman, Rob Seastrom and John Springer have been re-elected, and Amy Beth Potter has been elected to the ARIN Advisory Council. Each will serve three-year terms beginning 1 January 2016.
The ARIN Board of Trustees wishes to thank Joshua Breeds and Adrian Johnson for their participation as candidates in the election and looks forward to their continued involvement in ARIN’s activities.
Louie Lee has been re-elected to a seat on the NRO Number Council from the ARIN region. His new three-year term begins 1 January 2016. The Board of Trustees wishes to thank Timothy McGinnis for his participation as a candidate in the election and encourages his continued participation in the ARIN community.

Nomination Process
In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws:
- Call for ARIN Board of Trustees and Advisory Council nominations went out to ARIN members via the arin-announce@arin.net mailing list and ARIN’s website.
- Nominations closed at the specified date and time.
- All eligible nominations for the Board of Trustees and Advisory Council were put forth to the general membership.
- Candidate biographies were posted to the ARIN website and eligible voters were sent email of both the initial and final slate of candidates.
- Each candidate was given an opportunity to address the ARIN membership at the ARIN 36 Public Policy and Members Meeting in Montreal, Quebec on 8 October 2015.
Election Process
In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws:
- Online voting for General Members in good standing began 8 October 2015 at 3:00 PM EDT.
- Voting closed nine days later on 16 October at 3:00 PM EDT.
- All online votes were required to be confirmed.
- Quorum was achieved as ballots were cast over 5% of the total eligible voters.
- The votes were tallied by ARIN President John Curran, ARIN Board Member Bill Sandiford, and ARIN Counsel Stephen Ryan.
- The results are provided below. The election process and results have been verified according to the requirements in the ARIN Bylaws.

- 5,215 ARIN members as of 24 August 2015
- 4,743 Eligible voters* as of 24 August 2015
- Board of Trustees election: 482 voters on behalf of 601 unique member organizations cast a ballot in the Board of Trustees election
- Advisory Council election: 476 voters on behalf of 595 unique member organizations cast a ballot in the Advisory Council election
- NRO Number Council election: 75 meeting attendees plus 474 voters on behalf of 593 unique member organizations cast a ballot in the NRO Number Council election
