ARIN seeks community input regarding this year’s ARIN Board of Trustees and Advisory Council (AC), and Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council nominee questionnaires.
In the fourth quarter of each year, ARIN’s Membership elects individuals to the ARIN Board of Trustees and AC, and two out of three years, one ARIN representative to the NRO Number Council. This year the NRO Number Council representative will be appointed by the Board of Trustees. To be considered for a seat on one of these bodies, a nominee must submit an online questionnaire that provides detailed information about their relevant experience and position on key community issues.
ARIN Board of Trustees and AC nominee questionnaire responses will be published online along with their biography via an electronic 2020 ARIN Voter Guide when the Initial Slate of Candidates is announced on Monday, 14 September 2020.
If you have questions specific to policy issues or challenges facing ARIN that you’d like nominees to answer, please send your suggestions to members@arin.net for the 2020 ARIN Nominations Committee’s (NomCom) consideration no later than Friday, 8 May. Please mark whether your question(s) is directed to nominees for the ARIN Board of Trustees or AC, or the NRO Number Council, or any combination of the three.
The 2020 NomCom will review all questionnaire submissions for the ARIN Board and AC, and ARIN’s Executive team will review all questionnaire submissions for the NRO Number Council to determine a final list and phrasing of all candidate nominee questions. Per the Board-approved ARIN Election Processes, Section III, Nominee Qualification Questionnaires, the ARIN Board of Trustees has already approved a base set of questions to be completed by Trustee nominees, and the NomCom may propose additional questions to be added to the questionnaire but may not alter or revoke the Board-approved questions.
