I have found that Jeff’s overall knowledge and the ability to get all issues resolved timely indispensable. I’ve learned these last years of Jeff’s interest in the internet and issues of security and proper structure to be a real passion. Jeff quickly envelopes a project and garners trust and confidence with those he works with, by his easy style and diplomacy in difficult issues. I’ve also found an inordinate desire on Jeff’s part to dig-in to the details and work to come up with the right answers rather than just an answer.

Not only does our Qwikcast software perform without interruption, Jeff has assisted our clients when their network issues compromise the success of our meetings. This is a large task as our meetings are viewed around the Globe, ushered through corporate networks, monitored for security and success for companies including 3M, Ecolab, Medtronic, Ameriprise, Target, US Bank, Post Consumer Brands and others. Alyssa continues to be a dedicated and passionate advocate for fair, responsible and equitable internet. Over the course of her first three year term, Alyssa has shepherded internet numbers policies that aim to improve registry accuracy, a policy that aims to make it easier for community networks to obtain IPv6, and policies that increase clarity in the Number Resource Policy Manual. During her tenure at both Cybera and now CIRA, she has been a key figure in advocating for better Internet policy at the global and national levels. I have come to know Alyssa Moore in her role as the senior policy advocacy adviser at CIRA and have cooperated with her on arranging panels at IGF initiatives and computer science conferences, interacted with her at ICANN,and sought her opinion about various technical and policy issues that relate to Internet infrastructure and names and numbers. Alyssa brings a very unique blend of policy/technical knowledge to this space which I have rarely seen. While has an in-depth knowledge about policy, because of her understanding of technical issues she is also very realistic but at the same time rights-oriented. This balance is very much apparent from how she performs in her various roles. She also does not shy away from advocating for what her community demands and is a committed representative. I strongly support Alyssa’s re-election to AC.

While I knew *of* Anita when she was a NSF PM, I am very pleased to say that I know her now as a close colleague. In the last couple of years that our paths have crossed, I have been the beneficiary of many insights related to our shared research interests, namely networking, protocols, security, and applied machine learning. My conversations with Anita have always been illuminating, be it a conversation on the latest advances in network security, or a conversation on the role of ethics in the booming AI/ML space in the CS community, or a conversation on the business aspects of a technology like blockchain. During our various conversations, I have always found Anita’s arguments to be well thought out, eminently reasonable, very passionate, and acutely perspicacious. Anita’s background and prior experience will inform her activities in ARIN. Her deep knowledge of networking will allow her to reason about evolving technologies that will make use of networks in ways not yet imagined, and her organization experience will benefit ARIN in establishing collaborations with other organizations like ISOC. She researched my proposal and its history, and identified technical issues that had recently changed which impacted the proposal. She spent more research time than I did, and she was able to present the proposal successfully to the community when the time came for that. Throughout the process she was fair to me and I had no reason to assume that she was personally for or against my proposal, which I took to be a reasonable position for a policy shepherd. I think she is a credit to the Advisory Council and I support her re-election.

He ability to track down the root cause of Network related issues is critical to reducing outages to a minimum. She is focused on the proactive use of network monitoring tools to prevent outages from occurring in the first place. She has a drive and a passion to share her research and knowledge beyond the walls of her cubicle, having a position with ARIN allows her skills to be appreciated by a greater audience. We became reacquainted in the last five years during my time at CIRA and I was impressed with his deep knowledge of networks and the DNS.
