Advisory Council Requirements and Responsibilities
ARIN Advisory Council (AC) Initial Requirements
Any incoming Advisory Council Member must:
- Sign an ARIN Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Be in compliance with the Nomination and Appointment Conflict of Interest List
Responsibilities
ARIN AC Member responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Attending all in-person meetings held in various locations throughout the year (approximately three annually)
- Participate in monthly conference calls (approximately nine annually).
- Advising the Board of Trustees on Internet resource policy and related matters
- Developing clear, technically sound and useful number policy
- Volunteeringto assist ARIN in outreach efforts
- Volunteering to travel on behalf of ARIN for conferences and events
- Representing ARIN in public fora in a manner which adheres to corporate messaging standards
- Regularly monitoring the following ARIN mailing lists:
- ARIN Advisory Council
- ARIN Public Policy Mailing List
- Facilitating the policy development process in accordance with the ARIN Policy Development Process
- Generating discussion on ARIN’s Public Policy Mailing List
- Volunteering for committees or working groups that may be formed.
- Volunteering to mentor selected meeting fellows during ARIN Public Policy and Members Meetings
- Contributing to the AC Wiki
