Elections

Each fall, representatives from ARIN’s General Members in Good Standing elect candidates to the ARIN Board of Trustees and Advisory Council (AC) to serve staggered three-year terms. For two out of every three years, eligible ARIN General Members elect one ARIN representative to the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) to serve a three-year term. Every third year, ARIN’s Board of Trustees appoints an ARIN representative from a community-developed pool of nominees.

Election Information

The Nomination Committee (NomCom) is a standing committee established by the Board for the purposes of recruiting nominees for election to open seats on the Board of Trustees and Advisory Council. For more information about the NomCom, view the NomCom Charter.

Each ARIN Member organization is entitled to designate one Voting Contact (per Org ID) who may vote online in the Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, and NRO Number Council elections on their behalf. A Voting Contact must have a valid ARIN Online account for that member organization to be eligible to vote in online elections. An ARIN Member organization must also be a General Member in Good Standing 45 days before a ballot or election to be eligible to participate. Voting Contact designations must be finalized before 3:00 PM ET on Thursday, 15 October 2026.
