Elections
The 2023 ARIN Elections concluded at 7:00 PM ET on Friday, 27 October, and ARIN wishes to congratulate those elected by the community to serve on the Board of Trustees and Advisory Council (AC) after an election that saw the highest ever total numbers of both General Member organizations and voting contacts participating.
Board of Trustees
Dan Alexander has been elected, and incumbents Nancy Carter and Tina Morris have been re-elected to the Board of Trustees. Each will serve a three-year term commencing 1 January 2024. In addition, Chris Tacit has been elected to a one-year partial term to complete the seat left open by Bram Abramson’s resignation earlier this year. I hope you will join me and the rest of the Board of Trustees in thanking David Zumwalt, Khaled Koubaa, Andrew Dul, William Sylvester, Philip Duclos, and Jack Cathey for their participation in this year’s election. Their interest in contributing to ARIN’s future and their concern for the governance of the organization and the Internet are deeply appreciated, and we look forward to their continued participation.
Advisory Council
Elizabeth Goodson and Kaitlyn Pellak have been elected, and incumbents Matthew Wilder, Douglas Camin, and Leif Sawyer have been re-elected to the Advisory Council for three-year terms beginning 1 January 2024. In addition, Matthew Gamble has been elected to fill a one-year term to complete the term of Rob Seastrom’s Advisory Council seat, and Daniel Schatte has been elected to a one-year term to complete the term of Amy Potter, who submitted her resignation effective 31 December 2023. The Board of Trustees thanks Jason Weil, Anthony Delacruz, Roy Hoover, Dustin Moses, Ibrahim (Ibro) Seremet, Dean Hardy, and Rob Johnstone for their participation in this year’s Advisory Council elections and looks forward to their continued involvement in our community, including policy development.
NRO Number Council
This year was an appointment year for the NRO Number Council (NC) seat from the ARIN region. As announced on 19 October 2023, Kevin Blumberg was reappointed by the Board of Trustees and will begin serving on 1 January 2024 for another three-year term. Thank you to Kate Gerry and Lou DeVictoria for volunteering as candidates for the NRO NC, and we appreciate your participation.
Thanks and Appreciation
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to outgoing Advisory Council members Andrew Dul, Anita Nikolich, and Amy Potter. Each has contributed to our community and done tremendous work in their roles on the Advisory Council and beyond. We look forward to their continued interest and involvement in ARIN policy development.
Regards,
John Curran
