Description: ARIN should, upon receiving a request for a new IPv4 assignment or allocation, suggest that applicants also apply for corresponding IPv6 resources if they do not already have them or have a pending application.

ARIN undertakes numerous types of educational activities to explain IPv6 protocol and how to request IPv6 address space from ARIN. Promotion of specific technology, however, is not within ARIN’s charter.
