ACSP Suggestion 2010.9: Weekly post to NANOG of revoked or removed number resources
Suggestion
Author: Heather Schiller
Submitted On: 21 April 2010
Description:
Post to Nanog a list of revoked or “removed” resources - both prefixes and ASN’s on a weekly basis.
“Removed” prefixes are published on a daily basis in the “ARIN Issued” RSS feed - however folks have to subscribe to the feed to see it. Publishing it to Nanog on a weekly basis, similar to what is done with the CIDR report, would shed more light on use of unallocated space.
ARIN already makes this information public, and easily obtainable on a daily basis .. just recommending they publish it to Nanog weekly for greater visibility.

After some consideration, ARIN has determined that the best course of action is for ARIN to send out a bi-annual announcement to the NANOG list reminding people about the availability of the “ARIN Issued” RSS feed. As you said, this information is already published by ARIN daily, and is easily available to any community member who in interested in obtaining it. Sending this reminder message should give greater visibility to the availability of this service without subjecting the entire NANOG list to daily information that they may or may not be interested in.
ARIN will send out the first announcement in August 2010, and then schedule it for every January/June going forward.
In conclusion, your request will be implemented as described above. Thank you for participating in the ARIN Suggestion Process. This suggestion is now considered closed.
