ACSP Suggestion 2015.11: Women's Lunch at ARIN Meetings
Suggestion
Author: Cathy Aronson
Submitted On: 23 July 2015
Description: When I attended a LACNIC meeting I found that they have a separate women’s lunch where they even arrange guest speakers to talk about their experiences in networking. It is very well attended and it was a great experience. I feel that ARIN should arrange for a similar lunch during the ARIN meetings. I have suggested this several times informally and it hasn’t happened. It was suggested to me that I send a formal suggestion here.
Value to Community: Help support and encourage woman in the industry.

Thank you for your suggestion, now numbered 2015.11, requesting that ARIN arrange a women’s lunch during its Public Policy and Members Meetings. I would like to brainstorm with you on the best options during our meetings to support and encourage women in the industry.
ARIN will keep this suggestion open until we implement something.

Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2015.11 upon confirmed receipt, requesting that we offer a women’s networking lunch in order to encourage and support the participation of women at ARIN meetings. We are planning to offer a Women’s networking lunch during ARIN 38 in Dallas, Texas. If this event is successful, we will endeavor to make it a part of future meetings as well.
