Submitted On: 13 November 2015

Description:

Switch ARIN elections to Single Transferable Vote instead of First past the post (current system)

Rather than rehash the details of STV here, I will merely reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_transferable_vote

The current ARIN majority-based voting system provides for both simplicity and compliance with Virginia law, and it is unclear if transferrable vote model would provide either of these benefits. As such, the President has not recommended any changes at this time.

Thank you for participating in the ARIN Consultation and Suggestion Process. Having been reviewed and considered by the ARIN Board of Trustees, please consider this suggestion closed.
