ACSP Suggestion 2015.20: Marking ARIN Online Messages as Read

Description: ARIN Online should mark messages as read in message center when they have been acted upon, even if from another source.

Value to Community:

I receive most ARIN Online messages in my regular email. For example, POC validation requests. I act on them from the link in my email. Later, when I log into ARIN Online I find I have an unread message in message center. Going there, I find that it’s just a nuisance notification about a message I already acted on from email.

It would be better if ARIN Online Message Center did not flag messages that have already been acted on as unread.

We agree the user experience between POC validation with email responses and the ARIN Online message center can be improved, and we will the feature to the list of outstanding projects awaiting prioritization found at: https://www.arin.net/features/planned.html
