ACSP Suggestion 2016.5: Publish Regional Breakdown of Voting in Elections
Suggestion
Author: Anonymous
Submitted On: 26 April 2016
Description: Arin should publish breakdown of election stats by region or country. For example X out of y members voted in America | Canada | carribean. In addition Arin should publish this information for the last 5 years if it is still available.
Value to Community: Arin is considering ways to increase diversity of the board and AC. Some of the options being considered involve various sectors of the region electing their own representative. Publishing historical information about voting by sector would allow the community to understand the potential impact and understand the level of involvement by sector in the election process.

Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2016.5 upon confirmed receipt, requesting that ARIN publish the breakdown by sub-region (US, Canada, Caribbean) of the number of organizations who voted in the ARIN Board and Advisory Council elections in past and future elections.
It is a challenge to resurrect the data from previous elections. However, as we see that this data may be useful in the discussions surrounding how to gain diversity on the ARIN Board of Trustees and Advisory Council, we will begin providing the data at the conclusion of the 2016 election and going forward.
Please consider this suggestion now closed, noting that the 2016 election data will be published in a reasonable amount of time following the conclusion of the 2016 elections.
