ACSP Suggestion 2024.15: New Search Method for ARIN Reg-RWS
Suggestion

Description:
New Method for ARIN Reg-RWS
Context — Registration RESTful Service (Reg-RWS) is a secure and efficient method for interacting with ARIN’s database and managing your registration records. https://www.arin.net/resources/manage/regrws/
Problem — As of now, there is no method to query all Networks for a single OrgId. To be able to query a Network, you need to have the Network Handle. But what if you dont know the names of all your Network Handle but only your Org Id? What if you have only your POC Handle?
You can circumvent this by querying whois (https://whois.arin.net/rest/ ), but there are some limitations.
https://www.arin.net/resources/registry/whois/rws/api/#command-line-clients-and-web-browsers
Solution — To solve this, my suggestion is to add a method to Reg-RWS to be able to query all Networks for an Org Id. You should be able to pass filters in the GET method, similar to what you can already do on the webpage:
- IP Address or Range, Net Handle, Net Name
- Org ID, Organization Name
- POC Handle, Name, and/or Email Address

Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2024.15 on confirmed receipt, asking ARIN to add a method to Reg-RWS to be able to query all Networks for an Org Id.
There is another open suggestion for Reg-RWS improvements that includes the one you are requesting, so we are closing your suggestion as a duplicate and retaining the current suggestion for tracking until a definitive course of action is determined.
Thank you for participating in ARIN’s Consultation and Suggestion Process.
