Recommended Draft Policies

Draft Policies become Recommended Draft Policies once the Advisory Council has determined a policy is ready to be presented to the community at a Public Policy and Members Meeting for final comments and consensus. Once a Recommended Draft Policy is presented at a Public Policy and Members Meeting, and feedback from the community is received, the Advisory Council will then vote whether to move the policy to last call, move it back to Draft Policy status for additional work, or abandon the policy. Once a policy moves through last call, it is sent to the Board of Trustees for adoption.

Draft Policies

Draft Policies are Policy Proposals that have been deemed complete, in scope for the Policy Development Process, and accepted by the Advisory Council for consideration by the community. Discussion of these policies is primarily done on the Public Policy Mailing List (PPML) by the community, and Draft Policies may be presented for additional feedback at a Public Policy and Members Meeting.
