ARIN Micro-allocations

The policy regarding micro-allocations is contained in Sections 4.4 and 6.10 of the Number Resource Policy Manual. Micro-allocations are made from specific blocks reserved for micro-allocation purposes.

Micro-allocations for Internal Infrastructure

IPv6 micro-allocations for internal infrastructure are made from 2001:0506::/31.

Micro-allocations for Exchange Points

The following blocks of IP addresses have been allocated to organizations under ARIN’s Micro-allocation Policy for exchange points. In IPv4, ARIN makes these allocations from 149.112.0.0/16 and 206.0.0.0/8. In IPv6, ARIN makes these allocations from 2001:0504::/31.

Micro-allocations for Critical Infrastructure

The following blocks of IP addresses have been allocated to organizations under ARIN’s Micro-allocation Policy for gTLDs, ccTLDs, RIRs, and ICANN, as well as all named servers of the domain. In IPv4, ARIN makes these allocations from 149.112.0.0/16, 192.0.0.0/8, and 199.0.0.0/8. In IPv6, ARIN makes these allocations from 2001:0500::/30.
